We’re headquartered in a 45,000 square-foot facility in New York. From this one centralized location we offer a wide range of credit and accounts receivable management services to credit grantors and debt buyers from across the country. This single centralized office allows us to maintain a level of control that simply cannot be achieved by larger “branch office” operations.
Since our centralized operation is more cost effective, we’re able to invest a great portion of our revenue back into resources that directly benefit you, like better support and training for our people, more hands-on management and the latest, most innovative accounts receivable tools and technology.
As part of the Sunrise Family of Companies, we also have a disaster-recovery site located in Woodbury, NY.
Diane Doane
CEO & Owner
Diane Doane-Plowman has worked at Sunrise since its opening in a variety of roles. In 1984, she became the Director of Sales and her impact on the sales process and the growth of our business has been consistent ever since. In 1990, Ms. Doane ascended to the title of VP Sales and Marketing. This began our steady growth into the industry leader it is today. In 2001, after her years of steady contributions in all areas of the business, Ms. Doane became Executive VP and shareholder in the company. Finally, in 2013, Ms. Doane acquired the majority of Sunrise stock and was elected to CEO by our Board of Directors, a well-deserved honor that reflects her years of commitment to all areas of the Sunrise Family of Companies. We have since been certified as a Women Owned Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Richard G. Doane
President & Owner
Rick has over 35 years of experience in the accounts receivable management industry specifically with Sunrise Credit Services. He has a long history of association work as well. He recently stepped down from the New York State Collectors Association after 30 years of service in every capacity including President. He has had a similar run with the ACA International, the credit and collection association. He was President of the International Association during the 2014-2015 term.
Rick has traveled throughout the United States teaching and speaking on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), collection practices and procedures and other collection management functions for both the ACA and credit grantors.
Rick is a graduate of Marist college in Poughkeepsie, NY.
David P. Duryea
Executive Vice President, Collections
David started with us in 1987 as a part-time collector while finishing his undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Psychology from The City University of New York, Queens College. David has held the position of Vice President since 1996 and was promoted to Executive VP in 2005. David is responsible for all Collection Operations. This includes hiring and development, daily production, analytics and project development.
Joseph J. Vassar
Executive Vice President, Sales
Joe began his career at Sunrise in 1989. He was promoted to VP in 1996 and to Executive Vice President in 2005. He has an extensive background in all aspects of the credit and collection process. His involvement at Sunrise does not end with the sales process but extends to the internal operation as well. He oversees all client services and new client integration. In addition, he is instrumental in the day-to-day decision-making and management of our company. Joseph earned his BS degree from SUNY Cortland.
John Ocampo
Executive Vice President, Information Technology
John started with Sunrise Credit Services in 1992 as a part-time collector. He transitioned to the Information Technology department, where he has performed every job role/function. From IT Coordinator to Network Administrator, to Database Administrator, John continually provides solutions for all of the necessary requirements that all departments bring to him. Over the last 10 years john has assembled key people in his department to compliment the team. John is responsible for all I.T. related components of Sunrise Credit Services. John is also responsible for the daily inbound and outbound electronic interfaces for all of our clients. John also continues to improve our efficiency within the company, automating manually assisted computer tasks to non-production hours.
Benjamin Carroccio
Senior Vice President, General Counsel
Ben Carroccio has been SVP/General Counsel of Sunrise Credit Services and the Sunrise Family of Companies for over 20 years. He is an experienced trial attorney, a nationally recognized speaker on consumer law and an active member of the ACA International Member Attorney Program (MAP).
He is a graduate of Cornell University, with a Juris Doctor from the Touro School of Law and was formerly a County Attorney prior to joining a large private practice firm in NY specializing in business litigation. Ben is always available to all Sunrise clients to offer advice and guidance in many various areas of law, with a specialty in consumer law.
Daniela Cancellieri
Controller
Daniela earned her BA in Accounting and Information Systems from The City University of New York, Queens College in 1992 and began her accounting and auditing career at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she became certified in Public Accountancy in New York State. Most of her professional career was spent at Citigroup within the Corporate Reporting and Analysis Group. After her tenure at Citigroup, Daniela spent 8 years as Finance Director for a nonprofit organization that provides art and mentoring programs to underserved youth in New York City and 4 years as the Controller for the Faculty Student Association at Stony Brook University. In October 2021, she joined Sunrise Credit Services, Inc. as their Controller.
